Originally a 1910 villa, it features 3 suites overlooking the water, combining mountain views, privacy and easy access to the region's outdoor adventures.

Guests receive personalised recommendations based on their interests. By encouraging visitors to spend their time and money locally, Two Rivers helps direct tourism towards the wider community rather than concentrating it in one place.

Breakfast is provided as a hamper in each suite, allowing guests to enjoy a flexible and private start to the day. Most products are sourced locally, with New Zealand made products prioritised throughout the property. Solar energy powers the retreat, local trades and suppliers are used wherever possible and the team works closely with businesses across Ohakune to ensure guests experience the best of the region while supporting the local economy.
Owned and operated by husband and wife team Scott and Ula, who have called New Zealand home since 2011. After taking over the property, they wanted Two Rivers to become a gateway to their local community while offering a peaceful place for travellers to rest and recharge.
Their vision centred around renewable energy, local purchasing, riverbank restoration and strong community relationships. From employing local staff and tradespeople to recommending independent businesses throughout town, many of their decisions are guided by a desire to support the wider community.
We had such a wonderful, restorative stay at Two Rivers. Our room overlooked the two rivers and was beyond peaceful. It was tastefully decorated and the host was warm, welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. We slept so well! We loved the hot tub and really enjoyed our stay. We had a wonderful stay at Two Rivers Bed and Breakfast. Scott was incredibly kind and welcoming. He even waited for us despite our late arrival on the first evening, which we really appreciated. The hosts had prepared a lovely attention for our honeymoon, a very thoughtful and touching gesture. Although the room was on the smaller side, it was clean, comfortable and pleasant. Having access to a jacuzzi was a real bonus and made our stay even more relaxing. The setting is charming, with views of the mountains and rivers nearby, creating a peaceful and cosy atmosphere. Everything felt calm and well cared for. A lovely place with genuine hospitality. We would happily recommend it and would love to stay again!
