Everything was well organized with a perfect balance of activities (snorkeling, island walking tours, kayaking, and more) along with plenty of free time to relax and explore on our own. From the moment we landed at the airport, everything was seamless. We were greeted by our tour leader, Nafsha, who took us to our hotel in Hulhumalé for our first night. She stayed with us throughout the entire trip and even helped us on the final day by guiding us to the correct booth for our private resort stay. Nafsha was an exceptional tour leader. She shared deep insight into Maldivian culture, growing up in the Maldives, local flora and fauna, and environmental issues—knowledge you simply wouldn’t get at a private resort. She was also incredibly caring, safety-focused, and always ready to help with anything, whether it was a medical concern or a simple question. We had an incredible two weeks with Secret Paradise Maldives. While arranging the trip Ruth was extremely helpful in answering all our questions and helping to plan our trip. Our first week was on the Mantra Ray Conservation cruise, living aboard the (Felicity) boat and visting the Raa and Baa Atolls. Our second week was a week of island hopping in the North Ari Atoll (Visting Mathiveri, Ukulhas and Rasdhoo). All the guides and staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We saw amazing wildlife everyday and learnt so much about the local culture and traditions and about sustainability, research and conservation in the Maldives.

Although we were not lucky enough to encounter whale sharks, we saw and snorkelled with sharks, turtles, mantas, sting rays and more. But most importantly we understood how precious this environment is and how threatened it is. Secret Paradise was present from the moment we landed to the time we left, we felt safe and supported.
