Landet Stay Sustainable Stay 1

Beyond the summer months

Landet Stay is open year round, but it is outside of peak season that it feels most personal, with fewer people, more space and a deeper connection to nature. From October to April, the archipelago becomes quieter. The air is cooler, the forests change colour or settle into stillness, and the pace naturally slows. *A minimum 2 night stay is required, giving you time to settle in.

Architecturally designed, quietly set in nature

The cabins are designed by Swedish architect Andreas Martin-Löf, where simplicity, materials and landscape come together in a way that feels distinctly Scandinavian. Large windows, natural wood and clean lines create spaces that feel refined without taking away from the surroundings. You might spot elk, hares or foxes moving through the reserve, or watch the light shift across the coastline throughout the day.

Built to exist with the landscape

Everything here is designed to sit lightly on the land. The cabins follow a leave no trace approach, meaning they can be fully removed without leaving a permanent impact. Built without concrete foundations and using responsibly sourced Scandinavian wood and recycled materials, they are designed to minimise their presence from the start. Materials and construction reflect a Scandinavian approach, where quality comes from simplicity, durability and using only what is needed.

Paths and installations are kept minimal, allowing the landscape to remain as undisturbed as possible.

Story behind Landet Stay

A 400 hectare stretch of forest and coastline in the Stockholm archipelago that had never been open to the public before.

Landet Stay was brought to life by friends Ted and Umberto, with a vision to share it without changing what is already there.

From working with one of Sweden’s leading architects to building in a way that can be fully reversed, every decision is made to leave no trace.
