Connected to Nosara
The hotel is deeply tied to the local community. The team is local and supports a range of initiatives, from the local food bank and wildlife rescue organisations to reforestation projects, the Nosara Recycling Center and public schools. From the Ostional Wildlife Refuge to grassroots education programs, the hotel sees itself as part of a larger living system that includes forest, beach, wildlife and the people who call Nosara home.

Sustainability built in
Before Olas Verdes was built, this land had already been cleared decades ago for cattle ranching. The forest you see today is the result of community reforestation efforts across Nosara. Energy, water and waste systems were designed with long term impact in mind, creating a model of tourism that supports conservation in Costa Rica.
