Wildlife, culture and community
Nyayo Discovery believes Tanzania is best experienced by combining its extraordinary wildlife with the stories of the people who have lived alongside it for generations. Whether tracking wildlife across the Serengeti, exploring lesser-visited landscapes or spending time with Indigenous communities, each itinerary is designed to show how culture, conservation and nature are closely connected. It's an approach that encourages travellers to leave with a broader understanding of Tanzania than a safari alone can provide.
Travel that supports local communities
Nyayo Discovery employs local driver guides, Indigenous guides and staff from the surrounding communities, while sourcing the majority of its suppliers within Tanzania. A fair payment structure ensures local communities are appropriately compensated for sharing their knowledge, time and culture. 10% of net profits are reinvested into community projects in the areas where the team works, supporting initiatives identified by the communities themselves. Alongside supporting local livelihoods, Nyayo Discovery has also helped plant more than 8,000 trees, contributing to environmental restoration across the region.
