Hammock Haven

Albania & Sweden
Tours & Experiences

Nature experienced differently

Hammock Haven offers multi day journeys where you explore by day and sleep in hammocks by night.

These trips typically run between 5 to 9 nights, designed for those looking for a more nature led way of travelling. Days are spent hiking, exploring and finding the next place to settle, while nights are spent suspended between trees, surrounded by nature.

It is a different way of travelling, where your hammock becomes your bed, your seat and your viewpoint, shaping how you experience the environment around you.

A different way to stay

Sleeping in a hammock changes how you experience a place, placing you directly in the landscape rather than apart from it. Each stop becomes part of the journey, whether you are setting up between trees in a quiet forest or winding down after a day of exploring.

Facilities are simple, suited for those comfortable with a camping style experience where the focus is on being outdoors. A basic level of fitness is recommended for most trips.

Off the beaten path

From nature reserves in Sweden to more remote areas of Albania, each experience is designed around less explored places, where moving through the landscape on foot offers a different perspective on the country.

Along the way, the team works with local partners, guides and small businesses in rural areas. In Sweden, part of each trip directly supports the nature reserve where guests stay, contributing to conservation efforts.

----

Shared experience in small groups

From hiking trails to cooking meals together, the experience naturally creates connections between people who arrive as strangers. Evenings often end gathered around camp or settling into hammocks under the stars, where the experience is as much about who you share it with as where you are.

Story Behind Hammock Haven

Founded by brothers Daniël and Ruben, who grew up spending their time outdoors climbing trees, building huts and exploring forests, drawn to nature in a way that later shaped how they travel.

After discovering hammock camping during his travels, Daniël realised how different it felt to experience a place when your bed was part of the landscape. What started as a personal way of travelling for the brothers quickly became something they wanted to share with others.
