A peaceful base for exploring Galicia

Located just minutes from Sanxenxo and the beaches of the Rías Baixas, Casa do Sear provides a comfortable base for discovering one of Spain's most celebrated food and wine regions. Whether you're visiting local vineyards, exploring coastal walking trails, discovering nearby fishing villages or simply enjoying the tranquillity of the gardens, the hotel encourages guests to experience Galicia at an unhurried pace.

Heritage preserved with care

Originally built in the 16th century, Casa do Sear has been carefully restored to preserve its original Galician character while providing the comforts of a modern country hotel.

Keeping tourism local

As a family business with deep roots in the region, Casa do Sear believes tourism should benefit the communities that make Galicia unique. The team works with local wineries, restaurants, artisans and suppliers wherever possible while encouraging guests to explore independently owned businesses throughout the Rías Baixas. From recommending family-run seafood restaurants to introducing visitors to local traditions and wineries, every recommendation is designed to help guests experience the region through the people who know it best.

Story Behind Casa do Sear

Casa do Sear began as a family dream. After lovingly restoring the family's 16th-century manor house, Elena's parents opened the hotel in 2001 with a simple belief that hospitality is about making people feel genuinely welcome.

Today, Elena continues that same philosophy, welcoming guests alongside her family into a home that has been part of the region's history for centuries. More than two decades later, Casa do Sear remains a place where heritage, family and genuine hospitality come together to create a memorable stay.
