Primo Chocolab invites you behind the scenes of chocolate making, right from the raw cacao bean to the bar you take home.

Most people don’t realise Bali produces cacao and this small but mighty chocolate lab turns locally grown beans into single-origin chocolate, a rare chance to get curious and understand what really goes into making good chocolate.

From bean to bar

This is a hands-on experience in the truest sense. You’ll sort, grind, temper and mould your own chocolate, learning each step of the chocolate making process as it happens.

Where flavour begins

The experience doesn’t stop in the lab. Visitors are taken into organic cacao plantations to meet the farmers and see where everything starts. It’s a field-to-factory journey that connects taste to land, people and process.

Built around fairness and flavour

Primo Chocolab works directly with farmer collectives, supports organic growing methods and reinvests back into local farming communities.

By designing and building much of their own equipment and controlling every step of production, they keep quality high and relationships close.

Primo Chocolab was created to do chocolate differently, slower, fairer and closer to the source.

Built in Bali with a focus on transparency and craft, the lab grew from a desire to honour local cacao and the people behind it, while sharing that story through education and hands-on experiences rather than just finished products.
