Story Behind Land Savannah & Trekking
Land Savannah & Trekking was founded by Moses, who wanted to share Tanzania through the eyes of the people who call it home. He believes the most memorable journeys come not only from visiting extraordinary places but from the connections made along the way.
Today, Moses and his team continue to create experiences that celebrate Tanzania's wildlife, landscapes and cultures while ensuring tourism supports local families, community-owned businesses and the people who make every journey possible.
Our 5-day safari was absolutely incredible from start to finish! Everything was perfectly organized—the transfers, accommodations, meals, and most importantly, the game drives. We were amazed by the abundance of wildlife, from elephants and giraffes to lions and even a rhino. Each day brought new surprises and breathtaking scenery. Our guide was professional, knowledgeable, and always attentive, making the experience not only exciting but also educational.
The attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care made this journey unforgettable. This was truly the trip of a lifetime, and we cannot recommend it enough to anyone planning to visit Tanzania. Thank you for giving us memories we will cherish forever!”

Our safari with Land Savannah was exceptional from start to finish, and we’re excited to share our experience. One of the main reasons we chose Land Savannah is because they are a local Tanzanian company, and booking with them directly supports local businesses, not international corporations.
Moses, who runs Land Savannah, worked with us to create a fully customized experience, including our flight schedule. We wanted to avoid the long safari drive from Arusha and fly directly to the Mara River for the Great Migration, and that’s exactly what Moses arranged. We also flew directly out of the Central Serengeti back to Dar es Salaam, making our journey much more efficient and comfortable.
Moses was guiding another group during our trip, but he still went out of his way to visit us at camp after returning, ensuring we had everything we needed. Our guide, Ibrahim, was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable, patient, and in constant communication with other guides to help us get the best sightings.
The highlight of our safari was the Great Migration along the Mara River in early July. Within two hours of landing, Ibrahim got us to our first river crossing (which hadn’t happened for three days since it was early in the migration), and it was an unbelievable sight. Over the course of our 3 night stay, Ibrahim successfully got us to two more river crossings—a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. It’s important to note that witnessing the Great Migration requires patience, as much of the time is spent waiting. All it takes is one wildebeest to trigger the crossing, but Ibrahim’s expertise and dedication made sure we were in the right place at the right time.
We also had full control over the camps we stayed at and absolutely loved Serengeti River Camp by Karibu Camps & Lodges. The camp was an excellent mix of comfort and adventure. Plus, having our own safari vehicle for our family of three allowed us to explore on our own terms, making the experience even more special.
Land Savannah also offered the most competitive pricing we found, and their secure down payment option via credit card gave us peace of mind.
If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, I highly, highly recommend Moses, Ibrahim, and the entire Land Savannah team. They will provide you with a personalized, unforgettable adventure while supporting local Tanzanian businesses. Message or call them on What’s -App for any need or question, you’ll be in great hands.

By chance, I met Moses at the Namanga border crossing from Kenya to Tanzania, and we ended up going on a tour of the Chemka Hot Springs.
I only had one night in Moshi, so I had to visit Chemka Hot Springs and catch a flight to Dar es Salaam at 10 PM. Thanks to Moses, I was able to tour Moshi, have a wonderful lunch after visiting Chemka Hot Springs, and even take a refreshing shower before heading to the airport!
This was a truly, truly, truly satisfying tour!
Highly recommended!!👍🩵
